Founded in 2011, Kingston Blues is the fruit of an encounter between Ollie, Jose and Alberto all
former students of the local Jazz University of Cadiz (Spain). Their music matches an aim to blend
various musical influences such as blues, jazz, soul, funk and reggae.

The band started performing roughly a year after its birth and heftily stepped up on the Andalusia
musical scene managing to make a name of themselves by covering various well known songs
from the greatest names of black music.

However, that wasn’t meant to last and Kingston Blues shifted its interests into composing and
writing its own songs throughout its own members and started to build up their own repertoire.

In June 2012, the band released a demo tape ” Sailin´ “, which was later on recorded and released
as an album grounded by a string of local performance success and significant internet download.

“ Sailin´ ” the album, was recorded between 2012 and 2013 and gives an insight to
the band eclectic choice of musical streams.

Kingston Blues was founded in Cadiz by Ollie, Jose and Alberto in November 2010.

The founding members of the band met in the jazz school of the University of Cadiz. They decided to merge their passion for music and particularly Reggea, Jazz and Blues into a unique style influenced by Soul, Funk, Rithm and Blues, Rock, Ska etc ... more
